From the first glance at the cover, I was intrigued, and it would be a book that I would snatch while walking through the bookstore. Diving into the First Look, I was immediately drawn into the story during the Prologue. The imagery throughout the first chapter was detailed and provided a clear view of what Vera was seeing in her little part of the world. It was interesting to get snippets of Chaya's past, and it will be interesting how that affects Vera in the future. Being led through Vera's mental musings as she learns about her surroundings how she was being created and who she is was an excellent way to be eased into the story. The end of chapter 2 had me wanting more!
