based off of the blurb, i knew this book would be like nothing i've come across before! having initially seen the premise, i was reminded of one of my favorite books, between shades of gray by ruta sepetys, but it's clear the two could not be more different. the whole frankenstein situation is very intriguing, and i also appreciate that it's a different take on wwii, as i have yet to read something that emphasizes retribution rather than ramifications.
