This story is definitely reminiscent of Frankenstein, if things had gone right for Frankenstein and his creation didn't look like a monster. I enjoyed the fantasy aspect of forming a "person" from clay, creating a golem. The history aspect is also really interesting because the story gives history of WWII with the Nazis, mainly from Lithuania's perspective. I definitely want to continue reading to see how Vera's story plays out.
