First of all, the cover is stunning. That and the promise of a story steeped in Jewish folklore are the reasons I picked it up. The prologue was so unbelievably well written, and immediately captured my heart, leaving me more invested than I’ve been halfway through certain series. And once the prologue ended and chapter one began, that interest did not die away. Although much slower and calmer, there is just as much drawing the reader in. Obsessed with the choice to write from the golem’s point of view.
