I loved this book so much. It’s a beautiful and charming story that’s very well written. I really enjoyed the character development. It highlighted how we are allowed to change the thoughts and perspectives that are engrained within us. It’s okay to decide to step out of the bubble of what we know and understand and change our opinions based on new information and the perspectives of others. Isabel Ibañez managed to convey a very strong message in a subtle manner. Her focus was on the story, which she created perfectly. The readers enjoy the traditions, beliefs, languages and food in an entertaining, fun and sometimes suspenseful way. Her incorporation of magic in the story was also a good touch. It felt like anything was possible.
