I won a copy of this book and recieved it the day before publication. It took me no time to read. I devoured it!

I love that Isabel is trying to make more people care about Bolivia, and its history. This book is a great way to pique someone interest into researching and reading more about Bolivia's past.

The book is historical fiction with a bit of magic. I love magic.

The book starts at the Fortress with Catalina and Ximena. One the Condesa, one her decoy. Ximena has been Catalina's decoy for 10 years , ever since King Atoc took over their kingdom.

Atoc demands Catalina be his bride so Ximena is sent to him. She is to find the Eatrella and get it to Catalina so they can regain control of their kingdom.

While there, Ximena's feelings towards the Llacsan people change. Their king is tyrant, but his people are good.

When it is time to choose sides, Ximena has a hard choice to make. Her queen? Or her new friends?

The magic part:

Ximena can weave with moonlight.

Atoc can bring earthquakes.

I loved this book.
