The writing of this excerpt is great. I was able to read quickly, but still have a lot of detail, all while holding my interest. The writing is definitely that of a time past or dystopian time frame. The characters and names of the various groups are not easily pronounced or explained when the excerpt ends, but are easy enough to get used to. The plot of the story is great. The thought that there's two condesas is so interesting (and smart). I'm very curious how things end for the main character and if the actual condesa is ever the face of their group/state/country. The idea that the main character can weave in the moonlight (literally as the title of the book states), is interesting as well. The main character, that's raised to be the face of the condesa, clearly wishes she had a different role/task. This book is different than most I've read and I'm intrigued to keep reading!
