With food supplies diminishing and their fiercest warrior, Ana, held captive by King Atoc, who has taken so much from them already, they must now relenquish their Condesa at the king's request for her hand in marriage.
Ximena has been the decoy Condesa since she was a young girl, standing in for Catalina, the true Illustrian royalty, to preserve and protect the princess's safety and indentity. The decoy Condesa must go to King Atoc, under the guise of marriage, to infiltrate King Atoc's throne and attempt to win back the Illustrians lands.
