Initially caught by the cover of the book, Woven in Moonlight promises to be thrilling. Fantasy meets a period piece, blended with Latin storytelling and I could not be more excited to read it. I found myself immersed entirely in the story, having forgotten that I only have access to a morsel of it.

The author did an amazing job setting the framework for the rest of the story in the first 25 pages. The main character plays a body double for the last remaining royal of a particular clan of people, the Illustrians. Within the first two chapters, the reader can see exactly how that weighs on her. The Illustrians also happen to be magical people, harnessing their abilities from the moon. The whole idea of the book, from setting to plot to characters, is entirely unique and equally thrilling. I cannot wait to get my hands on this book and finish it!
