Honestly, this sounds so so good. "Condesa"/Ximena is ballsy and endearing somehow? Catalina, seems somewhat naive but so sweet tempered you kinda aww like a puppy at her. This book sounds really interesting and I will absolutely have to read it. Also that cover? It's like Central American folk art and it was the first thing that caught my attention (I literally had the link up so I could refresh it every day until I could finally preview the book). I love magical realism books and I know this is marketed as young adult fiction but this sounds right up my alley.
