I was not a fan of the cover art and would, in fact, have passed up on the book completely if I did not have this sneak peek to read. Although the core of the story is not all that original, the characterization drew my interest immediately. The premise is as such: Ximena became the decoy Condesa at an early age, designed to protect the last Illustrian royal. When a rival demands the Condesa's hand in marriage, or suffer deadly consequences, how will Ximena be able to help? I look forward to reading the rest of Woven in Moonlight, either borrowing the novel from the library or purchasing it from my local bookstore.
