Rival tribes are squabbling over lands, resources and power and the Illustrians are on the losing end. Ximena is pretending to be the cordesa to protect the real heir when a proposal is made (literally) to save the lives of some of her people. Clearly Ximena is itching for a chance to be herself - but is the person she wants to be ordinary or extraordinary?
