Beautiful, Creative Magic; Compelling Context
I was pretty certain I wanted to read this after seeing the whimsical, gorgeous cover, understanding the book to be fiction/magical realism and seeing that the author is LatinX.
My interest grew when I read that it is historical fantasy/magical realism about the history of Bolivia. I’m onboard.
The cherry on top was the descriptions of the setting and situation. It was equal parts creative, heartfelt and relatable.
I’ll be reading it one way or another!
