First things first, the cover! It's gorgeous! I absolutely love it. I also enjoyed the initial glimpse of the story, and I am so behind the fact that this is another great example of a #ownvoices novel. The problem that I'm having is I am so burned out on YA fantasy. It just seems too similar to other examples of the genre, though the cultural elements make it worth reading.
