I like the rich details of the world here and the intriguing glimpse we get of magic - I really like that it's all tied to the moon. A decoy ruler always makes for a fun story, especially when the decoy and true ruler don't agree on things. Already we can see that Ximena chafes at her role as decoy condesa, and that she is going to clash with Atoc as his reluctant bride.
