This book is about Lori who was in a serious accident that has killed her teenage son, Austin and taken years of memories. She has to try to move on with her husband, Michael and her son's twin sister, Avery. There is so much she has to sift through to try and figure out who she was before the accident.

The story is written from alternate points of view, going between Avery and Lori. Both are struggling with missing Austin and trying to maneuver life without him. This book is all about forgiveness, change and faith. I liked finding out what was going on with Lori and Michael's marriage and being reminded that things aren't always what they seem. That's a good lesson for us all.

The parts with Avery made me feel like I was reading a YA novel, but I had to keep in mind she was a teenager and prone to doing things that were regrettable, probably like we all have. Overall, though, I really liked the story and the writing style. Thank you to Bookish First for the copy!
