This wasn't the worst book, but quite frankly, it was slow and I struggled to find the will to read more pages. The plot was a bit predictable, which also made the continuation even more unbearable.
Also, with the characters, I felt mostly apathetic towards them, which is not a good thing given the dark, serious nature of this book.
I really just wanted to like this more. I also think that this book would have fared more better if it had been written specifically from Lori's point of view and only hers. With the character point of view jumping, I don't think it gave the reader enough time to really get to know these characters and connect with them.
