I did not realize this was Christian Fiction until I looked up the publisher's name and came across their website. I sort of wish that the synopsis had been a little more clear with this. I guess I could have been open minded and tried the book out, as the Christian themes may not have been very present, but I just felt a little tricked and I ended up donating the book to my library. I'm sure it'll find the readers it deserves there. I was intrigued by the synopsis well enough, so maybe I'll end up checking my copy back out from the library, lol. But I just don't know that my values align with those presented in Christian literature.
I guess after this review is posted I will go look through some other reviews and see what the consensus is on whether or not it's a good read for more secular readers. And now I just need like 40 more characters to be able to post this...
