To be quite honest this was a good book. Not great by any means, but that may be because this is not something I would normally pick up myself. This is not my genre by any means. It took me a long while to write this review because it took me a long while to even make it through the book. That’s not disparaging on the author’s skills as they write very well. It’s just that I found the plot somewhat boring, but that is more subjective than anything. I don’t regret reading it as it is a beautifully almost tragic story, but I did feel like I had to really drag myself through portions of it. I have a tendency to quit on books when I lose interest but I forced myself through this one because I promised to write this review. Well here it is: it’s a decent book with decent plots, characters, dialogues, but to me, it’s not great. It was a tad slow. But if this is your genre or it sounded good to you, please do give it a try because I can see where people would like it. It is by no means a bad book at all, it’s just not for me.
