Following a tragic car crash that took the life of her son Lori and her family are still trying to get back to a new normal a year later. Her husband has buried himself in work, her daughter is tying to live with out her twin and Lori is just leaving the hospital with limited memory or the last 4 years. This book had me form the beginning and I read it pretty quickly. I enjoyed reading about Avery. Her reactions and behavior seemed realistic and not overly teen angsty. Xander was also a great character and one of my favorite parts of the story including how he was coping with his grief. I mad mixed feelings about her husband Michael but this was partly due to Lori's feelings which were effected by her memory loss. It was interesting to see the true story unfold as Lori got back her memories. While your memory can lie to you in general it was interesting to see how memory loss can add a whole other level to that.
