Even without the synopsis paving the way, it's clear there is something not quite right with the Mendenhall's. I like that Lori is an unreliable narrator with her memory loss not just impact her past, but also causing her to have trouble remembering more recent events and form new long term memories. This is a great premise to work with for a domestic suspense novel.
