Between the author’s note / content warnings and the first few pages of the book, it’s obvious “With Every Memory” tackles some heavy material. As such, this seems like a poignant, beautiful book. I adore the cover art and the stylistic birds at the start of every chapter; it suggests something freeing and light despite the inherent heaviness of this novel. I’m anxious to read on and learn more about the fatal accident. I also want to find out how this family navigates the huge loss of Austin and cope with the challenges his death brings.
