After finishing the First Look, I would definitely life to read more of With Every Memory by Janine Rosche. The story was interesting, but of course, was only a brief introduction to the events that occurred and the family characters and dynamic. Some of the language was a little old fashioned, for example when the main character referred to her husband as “dashing,” a very outdated word. Also, “mommy hugs” was mentioned at one point, the verbiage used didn’t appeal to this reader. Further, the novel seems a little faith-based, not overwhelmingly, but definitely present, and since it was only the first 20 pages or so, it is difficult to know if it becomes even more religiously centered. That being said, it was an engaging premise. The idea of a woman struggling with recalling lost memories from an accident in which her son was killed is very intriguing.
