Wilder Girls sounds very interesting right from the start! The girls are all quarantined on an island because they have what is called the TOX. It is a disease that kills some but others it gives them gills or bones or other odd things happen to their bodies. They are not sure why these happen and why it is different for everyone.
The plot reminds me of something similar to a Lord of the Flies or Hunger Games where it is completely different world and in that world this disease does not seem far fetched. The characters are all young women under the age of 18 besides some teachers so I'm sure there will be lots of cat fighting as they continue to age and also have to deal with the TOX.
I think the story line is good so far and the writing is smooth. The detail of what happens to the girls is graphic but it allows you to picture what they are going through so you can understand why they are on this island.
