Wilder Girls was described to me as the female version of Lord of the Flies. That's basically all I needed to hear about the book before I was hooked. Even though I thought of this as a sort of retelling when I first heard about it, I actually found the plot and characters to be really original. Each character was sharp and fierce. I thought the writing was really well done too! The writing was beautiful and super captivating. It had a few spooky qualities so it was a perfect fall read. There was a touch of romance as well but I felt like it wasn't too much and it didn't take away from the plot at all. This book was definitely hyped for me and it actually lived up to the hype! I would definitely recommend this book!
