I think this book is being really overhyped right now...it's good, but I didn't think it was exceptional.
It was dark but not dark enough when you compare it to Lord of the Flies. The comparison is loose in my opinion.
If you are easily turned off by violence, there is some graphic content in the book.
The reason I thought this was just okay was that it was really slow and I don't feel like there was a whole lot happening. It took to long for things to pick up and the plot left more to be desired. The ending also felt rushed to me.
I haven't written of Rory Powers though, I think there's a lot of potential here and three stars means I didn't hate it. I just expected more given all the hype around it.
