I really did NOT like this book. I feel like it lacked explanation. If I could have had a little bit more explanation and closure at the end to WHY this all was happening, I think I would have liked it more in the end... I struggled to get through this book almost from the beginning. It was a chore to complete, not something I looked forward to reading each evening. I feel like the details and characters were fine... if only there had been more context/explanation or something.
I picked this book up when I did because it was about a crazy legit quarantine and we were currently under the COVID-19 quarantine- I thought it seemed fitting---- "life might suck being stuck at home and not going anywhere or seeing anyone, but at least it is a normal disease and not some body-altering Tox" kind of train of thought. Too bad the book sucked. My 2-star rating is being generous, in my opinion.
