This is a very unique book that is being compared to Lord of the Flies. The characters in the book are young, school aged girls who are at a school and are all infected with a terrible disease. They are quarantined and completely secluded there. The story follows the girls and how they do their best to survive. This includes a few being elected to go to the water to retrieve supplies, but this brings on a whole new set of challenges! There are some pretty gruesome scenes, so beware if that may trigger you. There is also a little bit of violence. Many reviewers didn’t like the ending, but I really loved it! This book had me completely engrossed, and I look forward to reading more books by this author! It was a great debut!
