You NEED to go buy this book, it is one of my favorite stand alone dystopian/fantasy books. This book is dual point of view and has representation from the LGBTQ+ community!! I love the mystery subplot of this book and the world you will come to love if you read this book. It was also very cool as I was reading this book in the midst of Covid and the book happens to be about a life changing disease and being in quarantine. I will definitely be selecting this off my book shelf so I can reread and annotate. This is such an incredible story and at the end I was praying there would be another book so the story could continue, unfortunately there was not :( I think for this being Rory Powers first book, it was incredible!! I definitely recommend this book for if your in a reading slump because it is shorter and very fast paced, it will be over before you know it and you’ll wish it wasn’t.
