‘Wilder Girls’ is a captivating novel about an all girls school that is struggling to survive an outbreak that has spread. Stranded on an island with little to no communication with people back on the mainland, the girls and their teachers have had to learn how to adapt and survive with very little. However, some things just aren’t lining up with the Tox and how it is being handled. When Byat goes missing, Hetty is determined to figure out what’s really going on and save her best friend.
I had this book on my TBR for a long time and was super excited to read it when I finally got my hands on a copy of it. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the book as much as I wanted to. While the plot had me intrigued, I found the book to be slow at times. I loved reading from the perspectives of the different main characters. This allowed me to connect with them and their emotions. I did enjoy this book overall, but it wasn’t one of my favorites!
