Wow. This book is unlike any I've read before. Not only is the premise so original, but the writing and the characters drew me in right from the beginning. The Raxter girls are half feral, half human, and completely captivating. This book was a dual point of view, some parts narrated by Hetty, some by Byatt, but I enjoyed both of their chapters. Sometimes I find myself only liking one of the narrators when a book has more than one, but that was not the case here. I loved how the girls were not perfect, but complex and completely real. I love a book with strong female leads, and Wilder Girls definitely came through. I'm not sure how to describe it, because I am often at a loss for words when it comes to things I think are beautiful, but this book is unforgettable.
