I started this book in my covid vacation in 2020. Big mistake haha! But I picked it back up about a year later and really enjoyed it.

Wilder Girls is set in an island boarding school that gets put under quarantine after students get infected with "the Tox". I enjoy when a story zooms out and you get to see more and more of the picture as you read. In this book every chapter gives you more information about what's really going on at the boarding school or with "the Tox".

The writing in this book is well done and easy to read. The characters are well developed, if not slightly unlikable. At time it was difficult to care if any of the characters survived or not. The atmosphere was dark, spooky and chaotic. Wilder Girls is a YA book, but adult readers will enjoy it. I've recommended this books to several friends and think it is a great read for fans of dystopia.
