I really enjoyed this book despite how disturbing it was to get through. I had to read this book in segments otherwise I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night!!! You instantly feel like you are present along with the characters and see what they are going through. I felt emotional reading this book - it echoed the Netflix movie ‘Birdbox’ for me. Although it may sound silly, it was a little uneasy feeling turning the pages because I didn’t know what to expect. Very descriptive writing and loved the ending (I won’t ruin it for you). I’m surprised this is classified as a YA genre - I don’t think I’ll be passing it to my YA reader quite yet. Overall, it was a tougher read for me but glad I stuck with it!
