The cover and title are the first things that caught my attention about this book. They drew me in immediately. As I began to read the First Look excerpt, the questions began. Why do these girls have guns? Why are they finding coyote teeth? What on earth is going on with them physically? What has happened to the others?
The premise is intriguing, and I must confess: I LOVE books about post-apocalyptic survival with characters having to find creative ways to make a life when infrastructure fails. A book like this about teenage girls is even more tantalizing. How will they survive? WHO will survive? What odds do they face? And what will they be forced to do to even have a chance to survive, especially when their foes are nature and/or their own bodies?
