The cover lead me to believe that the book was going to be more action, and it may be, but from the first 28 pages, it drags a bit. The plot is elusive--you know that there are girls with ailments, but you don't know what causes it or what the ailments are. Further, it looks like a multiple perspectives book, but we only get the first perspective in the first look.
Aside from the confusion, it certainly seems intriguing. I'd definitely read the rest of the book just to figure out what is going on.
