This YA dystopian novel is touted to be reminiscent of Lord of the Flies, just with female characters instead of males. I do see that comparison in this sneak peek and I am curious to see where the author takes the characters from this point. The cover art works well for the subject matter, although it is not all that eye catching. I do like main character Hetty, as she seems to have the survival instinct and is fiercely loyal to her friends. I would seek out Wilder Girls at my local library, as I would like to finish exploring the world created by author Rory Power.
