This genre, the semi realistic dystopia, has been done ad nauseam; however, Power seems to have done it right. I appreciate the fact that the story takes place in or near Maine, and not some make-believe land. I also like that the characters disfigurments are just a little out there versus being widly unbelievable (like people sprouting wings and such.) I would very much enjoy being chosen to read this book. I think my YA reader would like this story as well!
