The cover itself didn't make a whole lot of sense to me before I started reading the excerpt, but once I started I realised why it is so perfect for this book. It reminds me somewhat as a concept of annihilation but more interesting! At first, I wasn't so keen on the first person perspective, but after a few pages I realised that it works for this type of novel better than third person would. I'm looking forward to learning more about the main character and understanding the mystery of what is happening to these girls. Even reading a few chapters I'm not sure exactly where the story will go and that really excites me! I cannot wait to read more of this. I'm curious as to whether puberty is connected to why they start having worse and worse flare-ups as well. Further to that, the main character is blind in one eye and I love characters who have disabilities being treated as no big deal.
