Pretty horrifying this to say the least. Imagine being one of a group of girls, say between the ages of ten and seventeen, unable even to speak to your parents, in a hostile environment with meager food and supplies while your young body decays in a most putrid fashion. That about sums up the sample of the story. It remains to be seen what path may exist for survival in this urgent crisis.
