I’ve actually had my eye on the Wilder Girls for a few months now, so I was really excited to see this drop on BookishFirst.

It was the cover that originally caught my attention. The color palette is beautiful – especially that green backdrop. Meanwhile the image of the girl is striking – both disturbing and evocative. I knew right away that I needed to know what it was about.

The description held up to my hopes, and made it seem like a fascinating novel. I’m sure it’ll be heavy at times, but I think that’s necessary for this plot in particular. I read the entire first look at once, and honestly found myself trying to turn the digital page again once I hit the last page – I wasn’t ready for this one to be over.

The Wilder Girls has a solid introduction. It immediately caught my attention, and held it. There was something so eerie about the way the situation was described. The condition of the girls, the state of their home (so to speak). Everything.

It was beautifully told. I’m very much looking forward to what happens next!
