Oh my word do I need to see this play out on a screen, preferably as a limited series so they get all the details of Honoree & Sawyer’s stories. The details in the story made me feel both timelines & they weaved between both seamlessly. I won’t spoil this book but I will say that it had a part that I never could have imagined! I was so engrossed in this book that I actually gasped when I read the twist! Sawyer is like the modern American trying to figure out his way through grief & ends up with an interesting find in an old chest that leads him on a journey that some will find unbelievable but I found it believable. Honoree in both her youth & advanced age sounds like a women who I would love to meet in real life. The history she has & how some memories will always be painful no matter your age is very relatable. I will read this book again & again. I want to finally say thank you for the advanced copy & I will highly recommend this book!
