Denny S Bryce is a remarkable storyteller, I fell in love with Chicago jazz clubs in 1925 the dreams Honoree and the dancers had. The story takes place in 1925 and 2015 where Sawyer, a film student finds Honoree in a nursing home and is set to complete his research on that time period. But Honoree is 110 years old and telling her story is one she will tell only in her way and on her time. The story takes twists and turns as you discover each characters ties to one another, hardships, as well as their struggles with family members. I loved the love story between Honoree and Ezekiel and I rooted for each of them as they struggled to survive events that had kept them apart for years,, allowed their paths to cross again, and then have them part. As you read this story, and it will be a quick read as you discover the truth about Honoree, you won't want it to end! It is beautifully written and I can assure you won't be disappointed.
