Wow. Wild Women and The Blues hooked me from the start. An eye catching, aesthetically pleasing Great Gatsby inspired book cover? Check! Beautiful girl, dress, jewels and all the glitz and glamor a young girl can handle? Check! This is a book about the 1920’s and the roaring jazz-obsessed Chicago as it comes to a very vibrant life that’s lifted right off the pages. It surrounds itself around an ambitious chorus girl in Chicago, 1925. Note: there are some emotional bits so this is a warning if sad themes or side plot lines are a trigger for you. I try to tend to stay away from books that deal heavily with this but it was the perfect amount to lend more perspective to the characters without throughly depressing the reader. That is greatly appreciated from people like me. The book deals with loss, forgiveness, and love for all the romance lovers out there!
