My favorite parts of the first impression were segments set in the 1920’s. Those had such a rich tapestry of color and sound and characters and feelings. The more present day had a slower pace to it. The writing was really good, I definitely felt like I was there. Each of the characters were unique. This is a book I’m really looking forward to reading one day.
