Wild Women and the Blues is an #ownvoices historical fiction about an African American dancer trying to pave her way in 1920s Chicago. Historical fiction is one of those genres that is lacking in POC perspectives, so it was refreshing to read about the beginnings of Honoree's journey. I look forward to reading the rest of her story.
