I love reading about the Roaring Twenties, and for a book centered around music I really wish the writing had a better flow and cadence to it. I do like how Honoree may have not had the easiest life but she isn't bemoaning it - she's ready to do what needs to be done to advance her life and career. Sawyer is another story (literally, but figuratively too).
