I'm a sucker for anything set in the 1920s, especially about entertainers in the 1920s, but a historical novel jumping from 1925 to 2015 with the main character in both time periods is something I'm always down for.
I love the imagery Denny S Bryce brings to the character of Sawyer through his emotions and thoughts. It's so creative and feels so personal that you can easily picture even the slightest hand gesture through her words. I fell for Honoree the moment we meet her in 1925 as she "sashayed into the basement". I love a woman who has no mercy for men as a young woman and older.
I'm so excited to pick this book up and see where the journey between Sawyer and Honoree go.
