What a great start to a book! I’m already intrigued to find out the story of Miss Honoree. She’s a dancer in a cheap negro dance hall, excited to finally get a chance to audition for a higher end establishment, to finally make her mark. She’s plotting her exit when she notices her long lost beau in the audience. I am truly anxious to find out her complete story!
