Mother's and Daughters - Its Complicated!

I'm so intrigued to read this book because of the dynamic between the mother and daughter. My mother had me at 19 and as I became a teenager she wanted to be friends and as I got older I needed a mom not another friend. There were times when she confided in me that I couldn't grasp the situations she was putting me in at such a young age. I feel a connection to this writer and her story as she navigates her mother's betrayal and her role in it. The cover gives the impression of a carefree life but we all know that is a disguise.
