I really dislike lengthy opening chapters that get lost in explaining details that are uninteresting and in all likelihood not important. Especially when there's absolutely nothing interesting about the prose. Especially when what I'm reading is a memoir by a practically unknown author.
Even ignoring all of that, I don't think I would like this book.
